UVSA Coordinator Applications Available

We are accepting applications for UVSA Coordinators. The following positions are open for application:

• Public Relations
  • Assist EVP in maintaining relationship with media contacts
  • Publish bi-weekly newsletter/e-zine to promote UVSA events & activities, and EOY Yearbook
  • Manage contact@uvsa.org email, forwarding appropriately to respective individuals/groups
  • Distribute press releases & news articles to external media outlets (radio, newspaper, TV, online)
  • Create brochures, pamphlets, flyers, ads when necessary for specific events/activities/programs
• IT/Media
  • Maintain and update UVSA website on a regular basis
  • Facilitate integration with project-specific websites (Tet, Camp, Non Song, etc.)
  • Coordinate media archives (photography, videos, etc.)
  • Create media content including videos, trailers, slideshows, etc. (Promo Video & EOY Slideshow)
  • Manage UVSA emails, listserves, online groups & accounts (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
• High School Outreach
  • Act as Liaison between VAHSA, UVSA, and member schools
  • Attend VAHSA meetings, events, and activities
  • Mentor and advise VAHSA Board throughout the year
  • Assist in overseeing VAHSA activities/programs (VAHSA Camp, Executive Summit, Alliance Game Day, HS Conferences, Bolsa Clean-Up, Halloween Party, Winter Formal, EOY Banquet, etc)
  • Facilitate VAHSA Board Election / Application Process
• Fundraiser Coordinator
  • Facilitate at least big fundraiser event per year
  • Take part in UVSA’s sponsorship committees
  • Research & apply for grants and other external funding opportunities
  • Facilitate an annual mail donation drive
  • Develop & maintain a list of potential donors & contacts
  • Develop a fundraising plan for the year
  • Work with the Board of Advisors on organizing fundraiser events
    

Please note that the “Youth Outreach” coordinator position has been renamed “High School Outreach”, and that we have removed the Alumni & Membership Coordinator position and have added the Fundraiser Coordinator position in its place.
