Mission
UVSA’s Mission & Vision
UVSA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, designed to provide a voice for Vietnamese American youth, and to bring together students and professionals who hail from different colleges and high schools across Southern California. UVSA is comprised of volunteers who are alumni, young professionals, and college and high school students.
We represent the diverse and dynamic Vietnamese youth population by encouraging interaction, participation, and activism in the community. We promote awareness of the Vietnamese culture, language, and history. Through leadership and service, we strive to advance the Vietnamese community in areas of social, educational, cultural, and civic participation.

About the Internship Program
As an intern, you will be working under the guidance of several officers related to your field(s) of interests and goals. We will be helping you to develop projects of your own, which will come with guided mentorship from various officers, termly advising sessions, and an end-of-year presentation of your work and achievements. Our goal through this internship program is to empower you in your journey through personal and leadership development, as well as grow the UVSA family.
Interns have the opportunity to shadow a specific position (see below); otherwise, interns will be matched based on their application and expressed interests (in which case, be sure to select ‘General/Undeclared’ on the online application).
The UVSA Internship Program is a 1-year commitment and ends on May 31, 2019.
