Your registration entitles you admittance to the Event. Any and all other costs associated with your attendance shall be borne solely by you and UVSA shall not have liability for such costs.

You acknowledge that UVSA reserves the right to remove you from the Event if UVSA, in its sole discretion, determines your presence or behavior disruptive to the Event.

By attending the Event, you acknowledge and agree to grant UVSA the right at the Event to record, film, photograph or capture your likeness in any media now available and hereafter developed and to distribute, broadcast, use or otherwise disseminate, in perpetuity, such media without any further approval from you or any payment to you. This grant to UVSA includes, but is not limited to, the right to edit such media, the right to use the media alone or together with other information, and the right to allow others to use or disseminate the media.

You acknowledge and agree that UVSA reserves the right to change any and all aspects of the Event, including but not limited to, the Event name, theme, content, program, speakers, performers, guests, and time.

The payment of applicable fees for the Event is due upon registration. If such payment is insufficient or declined for any reason, UVSA will refuse to admit you to the Event and shall have no liability in that regard.

You may request a full refund by March 5, 2021 at 11:59pm PT. You will not be eligible for a refund after this date and time.

For the purpose of this release, liability means all claims, demands, losses, causes of action, suits, or judgments of any kind that you may have against UVSA and their directors, officers, agents, volunteers, and representatives because of your personal, physical or emotional, injury, accident, illness, or death, or because of any loss of or damage to property that occurs to you or your property during your participation in the Event that may result from any cause including but not limited to UVSA and their directors’, officers’, agents’, volunteers’, and representatives’ own passive or active negligence or other acts other than fraud, willful misconduct, or violation of the law.

Code of Conduct

To ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone, we ask all attendees to follow a code of conduct during the Summit. Upon completion and payment of your UVSA Summit registration, you have agreed to the following Code of Conduct:

We strive to make the summit a comfortable place for all attendees. Please be kind to one another.

The event invites presenters from various backgrounds, and it is imperative that we treat them with respect. We ask that pay close attention when they are presenting, not interrupt or distract them, and keep conversations and questions appropriate. Attendees should conduct themselves in a professional manner among other attendees as well.

We ask that you respect the privacy of others. Unless clear permission is given, attendees should refrain from tweeting, posting, and publishing content of attendees and presenters.

The summit supports the freedom of expression for all attendees; however, we ask that ideas and thoughts should be expressed in a manner that is clear, free of any assumption, and avoids jargon and acronyms. With that in mind, if a disagreement of ideas and thoughts arises, please be respectful and only engage in meaningful, constructive discourse.

We encourage you to attend as many of the sessions and family events as possible to ensure the best experience.

UVSA does not tolerate any form of harassment, discrimination, violence, and misconduct. Any unwanted physical contact and insinuation of a sexual nature; use of images, drawings, or visual representations objectifying a gender; use of any language or actions that discriminate against others by gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, physical appearance, disability, and age; verbal threats, complaints, and intimidation; stalking; and harassment (physical or psychological) will lead to removal from the event without refund.

Please do not record or screenshot any conversations and sessions during the event. Additionally, please do not share virtual links to non-attendees.

We expect all attendees to follow this code of conduct to ensure a fun and safe summit experience for everyone in attendance. If you are found to have violated any of the guidelines above, consequences may follow, including, but not limited to, dismissal from the rest of the event without a refund. If you have any questions, please email [email protected]. We are so excited to have you at our summit. Thank you for your cooperation!
